Trip to Karde

At last we decided to leave pune on saturday the 22nd...which was scheduled on saturday the 15th...but due to my heavy workload at GLT 1.0...it has got postponed...And till the moment we left, nothing has been fixed..except aditi, ganeshand myself, everything was floating like a boat on the rainwaters....still we had not gave up...we 3 decided to go by my car, i being on the drivers seat!!! ;) and it was thrill, but then we got shital and sachin coming with us and then i took the passenger seat...and that was a nice decision though!! till 1 O'clock on saturday...we were 5 of us - we 3 and Mr & Mrs.Bhise..but then Pranav unexpectedly as always, changed the gears and we got the jerk. 6 people inone Santro.....just imagine!!but we adjusted with 2 + 4, being pranav and sachin in front....which was really horrible...but we did!! though the scheduled time was 3, it took an hour extra as per Indian time to move...and the Koteshwar special "GHOL"has already took place....myself n ads(Aditi) reached Pranav's mess at Cummins where pranav n ganya were waiting for us and then we 4 waiting forBhise family. Till the time we played cricket at pranav's mess and from there the fun began. My chappals ditched me at the start only and we got it repaired in Pirangut!!Heading to Mangaon through Tamhini was a mixed experience as the picturesque ghat was good enough to forget our routines and made us rejuvenate but the condition of the road was terrible with 4 sitting at theback seat. Whatever it was, we started playing antakshari....with all the latest item numbers to those oldies of Kishore n rafi sahab and not toforget in these were Salil and sandip. it was hard for Mrs.Bhise to sing asong from a word she got....in fact once she sang....nine eight(98darara...) the idea tune...and then everytime she stuck, we used to sing with any word she got(hine eight, dine eight, kain eight.....). and tht was fun. and thus, we reached at Mangaon at 1855hrs and sipped first tea in our journey which was ofcourse fantastic. But everyone wondered how the hotels there run inspite of such a small number of customers! And then one shocking info - we have to go 180 kms more and we have already126 kms away from home. And face of Mr. Bhise was worth watching as he was the "Saarathi"(whole n soul) of our Santro. So we left Mangaon and finally got a smooth road, highway to Goa and reached dapoli at around 2200 hrs and took a turn for our destination Karde, wherein we noticed that the network coverage has gone and none of us knows the way to Nagvekar's place wherein we were about to rest that day. Then we started roaming around and find out the way asking here n there for Nagvekars. Got one place at a hill top and it was too dark, that too in Kokan, it was scary enough to get down and walk towards a house. And now our Bravo Ganesh got down and called NAGAVEKAR, AHO NAGVEKAR and the only noise there was from our car - a big laughter!! Then finally found Mr.Nagvekar wating for us at an end which was a km away from that haunted place. As it was full moon, most of the placeswere covered by water and another stunt took place. Mr.Nagvekar told us tht there was a small canal through which we need to go towards the cottage and the army marched towards it.....huhhh.....finally we reached the place, had our dinner which seemed more than tasty because of the extra efforts we put in.
Now its time to freakout as we are short of time. 4 of us went for a walk through sheoak trees and in front of us was the gaint, wild still beautiful sea, trying to shake hands with its beloved, Moon. It was full moon which garnished the scene perfectly. Suddenly i remember a song from Guru , Tere beena beswaadi beswaadi ratiya, which i felt the sea must be singing for its love. And again clicked a snap of it in my mind. I got one more song "Khamosh raat, sehemi hawa, tanha tanha dil apna...aur duur kahin roshan hua ekchehra".....really, being on the beach at night is a very different experience, its mindblowing. Unwillingly we left the lovers alone and came back to the rest place as we had our plans for the next day.I decided to get up early morning 5 and watch the sunrise, but fortunately i need not, as the sun rose after 7, i got up at 7 and headed towards the beach....wow...it was breathtaking....all fresh air, the calm beach and thewhite sand, didnt seem familiar with the picture from last night....perhaps one cannot compare the beauty!!then Mrs.Sachin joined me and we walked through the beach and enquired about the dolphin ride and booked it for 6. And the day began for the next4 with a dolphin ride which was the main attraction of the whole trip. Itwas fantabulous. Sitting in a motor boat and going amidst the sea was awesome. Dolphins were playing hide n seak with us....complaining for beinga bit late...but that was just for a while when almost everyone lost thehope and Mrs. Bhise came up with an idea that will download the dolphin snaps from net and paste it in our album and at the same moment, one of thebaby dolphins appeared happily dancing as if giving us a small x-masgift....and tht was so nice...it made us all happy again!!Then the real enjoyment started in the clean, green waters of Karde.Wejumped, we screamed, we floated with the waves...and then the high catch game...in which i was the real dumbo ;P successfully took only 5 catches in the whole show!! but that was the beginning i would say!! ;) it lasted for aroung 2 hrs and then we parked our boats on the beach and fully enjoyed the mud...just like anil kapoor enjoyed the mud scene in Naayak!!!
